Data & Exports
Your data is yours. Export your expenses to a spreadsheet, generate a tax bundle with receipts, and manage what's stored.
Exporting to CSV
MobileWeb
A CSV opens in Excel, Google Sheets, or Numbers, useful for accounting or your own analysis.
- Web: Tools menu → Export CSV. Downloads a file with Date, Item, Category, Amount, and Currency.
- Mobile: tap the share icon in the Ledger header → export. It shares the rows you're currently viewing (so filter first), with extra columns: Type, Business, Tax-deductible, Workspace, and Receipt link.
Tip
Want a specific period or category? Use search and filters before exporting on mobile to get exactly the rows you need.
Tax exports
Web
The Tax bundle packages everything you need at tax time into a single download: a PDF report plus a folder of your receipt photos, zipped together.
- 1Open the Tools menu → Tax bundle export.
- 2Pick a date range: or a preset like This year, Last year, or This quarter.
- 3Choose a scope: All, Business only, or Tax-deductible, and optionally set an estimated tax rate.
- 4Select Generate & download to get your ZIP.
Note
The tax bundle covers your personal expenses. Whether an expense counts as business or tax-deductible is set automatically when it's logged and can be adjusted by editing the expense.
Receipt storage
MobileWeb
When you scan a receipt, the original photo is stored securely and attached to the expense. You can:
- Open an expense with a receipt to view the photo full-screen.
- Delete just the photo while keeping the expense (the expense stays in your ledger).
- Include receipt photos in a tax bundle export (web).
Managing your data
MobileWeb
- Delete a single expense: from the ledger, any time.
- Clear all data (web): Tools menu → Clear all data removes all of your expenses after a confirmation. This can't be undone.
- Export first: if you're clearing data, export a CSV beforehand so you keep a copy.
Heads up
Clearing all data permanently deletes your expenses. Consider exporting a CSV first.
